TMBC: control's card for stepper motor with ethernet interface

TMBC is a device especially designed to manage high precision single plane x-y positioning systems.

Although TMBC was conceived mainly to control finite rotation movements, it can also work with direct cycle motors and, for exemplum, it can also be used as speed control device.

This device, foresees besides the control of the motors with half step with shaping, optimizing the performances.

Technical Specifications

TMBC is managed by a ethernet interface with a dedicated TCP/IP protocol. It is possible to set out the motor rotation speed from 1 up to 1.000 half-step/second. The rotation speed is not linearly reached: acceleration and deceleration follow a profile optimizing the motor supplied couple.

The card has small dimensions and can be connected directly to stepper motors with nominal current up to 0,6A. A power buffer can be integrate for higher currents.

One or two input for limit/home detection per axis is provided

Input voltage: 7 - 15 V DC (unregulated).

Current consumption: 250 mA @ 7V DC (plus motor consumption).

Output current: max 0,6A/ph.

Interface: 10base-T ethernet (RJ45 connector).

Size: about 100 x 100 x 20 mm (about 3,9 x 3,9 x 0,8 inch).
